Early in the evening I parked around the corner of Fort Street, a main street in Victoria, and walked to the sidewalk. Just beside the entrance to an apartment building, about 6 feet from me, was a beautiful young buck who was unperturbed by my presence.
He continued eating for a few minutes and then headed towards me, passed by so close I could have touched him, and strolled down the sidewalk.
I have since seen 3 bucks in that same area, all seemingly unconcerned about people passing by.
