I am Tahltan/ Nisga'a
I am looking for the history of my culture
I am learning to speak my language
I am listening to my elders, friends and family
I am remembering what it's like to dance at a feast
I used to not know about my culture
I am teaching myself to speak (my language)
I am waiting for a time where there will be no violence
I am running with a river that will soon lead me to somewhere big
I am chasing a dream that needs strength to move
I am hoping that my dream will soon come true
I am living in a world that is slowly dying and needs our help to rebuild
I am me
I cannot be anyone else
but me.
