Global Pandemic was announced in BC and Mom's care home went into lockdown on March 11, 2020. The only way to visit her was to stand outside her building and call up to her balcony, where she sat outside talking to us on speaker phone. Mom was in quarantine from March 11 to June 7, never leaving her apartment. Only receiving meals at her door. She's a 90 year old true warrior and she said what kept her loneliness bearable was the weekly visits we made to call up to her. We are grateful she had a balcony and we could see her...many people didn't.
