Climate change is already causing untold damage to lives and livelihoods around BC and the world. But, too often, there has been a failure to tell the many human stories about climate disasters: from heat waves and floods to wildfires and droughts. As a result, we can feel alone and isolated in our own experiences with climate change. This exhibition space invites shared stories in order to feel hope through community connections. We invite you to share your own experiences.
This exhibition space was co-created with the Climate Disaster Project, an initiative led by journalism teachers and students across Canada. They work with those who have lived through climate disasters to share their stories with the public. And, since we are all climate disaster survivors, each student enrolled in a Climate Disaster Project class also shares their own story.
